As of this writing, deCuisine only sets strictly necessary cookies:

• A session cookie set by NextAuth.js to keep you signed in and to authenticate your requests
• A short-lived state/PKCE cookie used to complete Google OAuth sign-in

Under GDPR/ePrivacy and similar laws, strictly necessary cookies like these do not require opt-in consent — only clear disclosure, which is what this page provides. Your theme preference (light/dark) is stored in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, and is synced to your account if you’re signed in.

deCuisine does not currently use analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking cookies. If that changes in the future, we will update this policy to list the specific cookies or trackers added, their purpose, and how long they last, and — where required by law (for example, for EU/UK visitors or under California’s opt-out-of-sale/sharing rules) — we will ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie loads.

Some features rely on third-party services (such as Stripe for payments, Google for OAuth sign-in, and Kroger for grocery store integration) that may set their own cookies when you interact with them directly. Those cookies are governed by the respective third party’s own cookie and privacy practices, not this policy.

Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking the session cookie will sign you out and may prevent you from using features that require an account.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we add analytics or other non-essential cookies. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice as described in our Privacy Policy.
