Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service’s operation, security, or performance
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access or collect data from the Service without our written permission
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent subscription requirements, paywalls, rate limits, or access controls
• Upload malware or other harmful code
• Misrepresent the origin of content or falsely imply endorsement by deCuisine

deCuisine lets you create recipes and meal plans, mark them public or private, and “fork” (copy) public recipes and meal plans created by other users into your own collection. When using these features, you agree not to:

• Publish recipes, meal plans, images, or grocery lists that infringe on someone else’s intellectual property
• Publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable
• Publish false or misleading nutrition, allergen, or ingredient information intended to mislead other users
• Fork a recipe or meal plan and republish it as public without meaningful changes in a way intended to mislead others about its origin
• Use bulk or automated tools to create, publish, or fork recipes and meal plans at a volume consistent with spam or catalog-scraping rather than personal meal planning

deCuisine offers AI-powered features for Pro subscribers, including the “Sous Chef” recipe and meal-plan chat assistant and AI-generated ingredient substitution suggestions. See our AI Disclosure page for how these features work. When using them, you additionally agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass, “jailbreak,” or manipulate the AI features’ content restrictions, safety controls, or usage limits (for example, trying to make Sous Chef discuss topics unrelated to cooking, or claiming to be a developer to “unlock” hidden behavior)
• Use the AI chat or substitution features to generate content that would otherwise violate this Policy or our Terms of Service
• Send automated, scripted, or bulk requests to the AI chat or substitution endpoints outside of normal, individual use of the Service, or attempt to evade the daily request and monthly token limits that apply to these features
• Use AI-generated recipes, meal plans, or substitution suggestions as a substitute for professional medical, allergen, or food-safety advice, or represent them as verified nutrition or medical guidance to others
• Systematically extract, scrape, or reverse-engineer the underlying AI models, prompts, or ingredient database through repeated automated queries

If you create or join an organization to collaborate on recipes and meal plans with others, you agree not to use organization membership to gain unauthorized access to another member’s personal content, circumvent organization tier limits, or invite users for the purpose of spamming or abuse. Organization owners and admins are responsible for the conduct of members they invite.

We may investigate suspected violations of this Policy and take action as we deem appropriate, including removing content, disabling access to AI features, or suspending or terminating accounts. We may report unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities.
